Nonviolent Communication

Nonviolent Communication is a simple, powerful “language” that fosters communication with ourselves and with other people, whether in the family, at school, at work, or among people of different cultures, religions or political views.  It is a natural language; each of us has access to it.  It focuses our attention on actions that enrich our lives and the lives of other people.  It stresses the importance of expressing our needs with simplicity and honesty, and it allows us to understand other people’s needs even when they are expressed in ways that might sound like criticism, moralistic judgments, or attacks.
